Nuance to Sell Imaging Division to Kofax for $400m

Nuance Logo 2018

Nuance has decided to sell its imaging division to rival Kofax for a cool $400 million… It’s a bit of a twist, as Nuance has been doing a lot of acquisitions over the last few years: Copitrak, Equitrac, eCopy, just to name a few.

They’re seemingly going full circle now, as they state they want to focus on their roots, focusing on conversational machine and AI language products.

Kofax is not a new player in the workflow and imaging industry; it has incredibly powerful products of its own and it will be interesting to see what the mashed-up company creates.
