Who says getting a new MFP delivered isn’t exciting? Exactly no one, when there’s pizza and balloons involved! I appreciate my customers greatly, and anyone that knows me also knows that pizza is my go-to favorite, so they’re not surprised to see me delivering it… Everybody wins!

Saxon Jacksonville security expo and open house, 2018

We had a great turnout at the Saxon Business Systems Jacksonville HQ today. While we were a few booths short of what was available at PRINT 18 in Chicago, we had a good group of people and companies represented.

Nuance highlighted one of their badge tap copier authentication applications, Equitrac
Docushare showed off the latest version, Docushare Flex, which is a subscription model / SaaS document and content management system.
XMPie was there, showing variable data printing software and giving away cool personalized calendars.
EFI took several deep dives into the Fiery driver and its color precise controls.
Last, but certainly not least: our own Xerox Free Flow representative showed off some really interesting anti-counterfeiting print technology. We saw microprint and hidden messages, invisible to the naked eye but clear with a loupe, a UV light, or an IR camera. (depending on the type of print)

Overall, the show seemed to be received very well. One guest asked why we did this, seeming to comment on the extensiveness of the event: we do this because it shows that we are always trying to bring more value to our customers. We handle copiers, of course, but we do not rest on that success, we go out, find other ideas, and bring them to our customers.

Great networking at Jacksonville’s PCC Day

Over 200 business owners, postal customers (and USPS dignitaries!) gathered for the annual PCC Day, hosted by the Postal Customers Council of Northeast Florida and the University of North Florida.

Great contacts were made and knowledge shared, throughout the day. I’m happy to have been able to be a part of the sponsorship team, and look forward to next year.

Surge Adventure Park: brought to Jacksonville by Drew Brees

It’s been talked about for a while, but there’s a sign up and people are employed at the new indoor adventure park backed by Drew Brees.

The Jacksonville Daily Record has a nice write-up about the facility and the (hopeful) revitalization of the Regency Court shipping center. (across from Regency mall)

Extra, unsolicited, probably bad business advice: forget Monster, Red Bull, or any $3 a can energy drink you can think of… It’s an obvious play that Brees should bring back Surge soda… Mark my words. Cross marketing gold.
