We had a large crowd at the JITC meeting this morning! I don’t know if it’s because of the upgraded breakfast provided by Uniti Fiber or something else, but I’ll just say: the bacon was delicious and plentiful, and there were more people than normal. You draw your own conclusions!
Michael Lavoie gave a nice talk about the biggest fiber company you’ve never heard of, Uniti. Jokes aside, the company has accomplished quite a bit for such a young organization.
Steven Kaufman of Urban Mining talked about the work they’re doing to keep our landfills free of e-waste. The secure recycling & re-purposing of personal and business electronic waste is their specialty, and they even offer free disposal for individuals.
Steve also talked about the Northeast Florida Regional STEM2 Hub, an organization that could really use your help.
As always, I’ll end with an invitation: come join us at the next Jacksonville Information Technology Council meeting. We have a great group of people already, but your attendance will make the group that much better.
Thanks!
