The Economic Roundtable of Jacksonville hosted a talk on Tuesday about the state of the Housing Market.
Chris Butler, managing partner of DF Capital Management LLC, (associated with Dreamfinders Homes) spoke about the housing market in general, and Jacksonville, specifically. Overall, Chris shared that the market is still nearly 25% off the highs of the real estate bubble.
Chris went on to discuss in detail some of the historical trends of renting vs buying as a percentage of income, along the way pointing out numerous times that Jacksonville (the region, including St Johns and surrounding counties) is an especially good market.
This was my first exposure to the Economic Roundtable of Jacksonville, but it will not be my last. The speaker was good, the questions from the audience were good, and the people friendly. I look forward to visiting again in 2019.
Thanks for having me.
