Xerox is integrating ECi’s e-automate backend software into the software used by its MPS (managed print services) dealers and partners.

This is a good move; more and more copier dealers (not just Xerox ones) have been using e-automate to simplify their business backends and provide better business intelligence and clarity.

For the customers, again, not just Xerox ones, response times are better, invoices are clearer, and the overall experience is arguably better than many legacy software systems.
