The Southside Business Men’s Club (SBMC) welcomed Jacksonville Mayoral Candidate Anna Brosche to speak for a few minutes today.

Anna shared some of her ideas about downtown development, responded to some of the criticisms that have been levied in the news outlets and TV commercials, and gratiously answered (quite a few) questions.
Regardless of which candidate you ultimately back next Tuesday, I, for one, appreciate the opportunity to hear from the candidate, directly.
Also on deck today was a member spotlight presentation by Anne Urban of Destination Planning. She shared some highlights about all the cool parties she attends, I mean, plans, and seems to really enjoy her livelihood!

Last, but certainly not least- the SBMC’s own President Bill Bishop would appreciate your support on Tuesday, too! He is running for a seat on the City Council, representing District 1.

If you are curious about the SBMC, or simply want to meet a great group of people and business owners, stop by next week. We meet every Wednesday for lunch at the beautiful San Jose Country Club.
