Downtown Council Meeting April 19th, 2019

Jax Chamber April 2019 Downtown Council

Mom always says “go to church!” and while I’m not entirely sure a JAX Chamber breakfast is exactly what she had in mind, it is a fact that we meet at the Old St Andrews Church in downtown Jax… Yes, a church. Deconsecrated, yes, but a church. I think that means you can say yes, if you visit, and she asks.

This Friday, the JAX Chamber’s Downtown Council will welcome Joy Young, the new Executive Director of the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville. Joy will speak about the importance of the arts and culture in our thriving city.

Our spotlight speaker is our very own Downtown Council member Mark Missigman of the John Maxwell Team… It’s always interesting to learn a little more about our own members, and I know Mark has some insights on leadership he’d love to share (By the way: talk to Gracie Simendinger, if you’d like to be a spotlight speaker at a future meeting)

Of course, walk ups are more than welcome, but since nobody wants to run out of coffee, we’d love it if you’d let us know you’re coming, here: downtowncouncil.org
