On March 1st, the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Council will welcome Joe B. “Bill” Putnam, Jr., MD, FACS to the stage.

Dr. Putnam is the Medical Director at the Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center and will be discussing the impact of his organization on Healthcare and the Jacksonville region.

I was fortunate to be part of a tour of the MD Anderson Cancer Center, recently- it is a beautiful facility from both a functional as well as a purely aesthetic viewpoint. Art is everywhere, river views are common, and it is obvious that everything is there, wherever it is, in order to advance the well being of their patients.

The JAX Chamber Downtown Council meets twice a month, on the 1st and 3rd Friday. We have a new location, a lot of new members, and a lot of momentum. Please join us for breakfast on the 1st! We meet at 7:30am for networking and such, with the program getting under way, officially, at 8:00am.
