Downtown Council Welcomes VyStar’s Brian Wolfburg

On Friday, June 7th, the JAX Chamber Downtown Council will welcome VyStar Credit Union’s President and CEO, Brian Wolfburg. Brian will be discussing his belief in the importance of downtown Jacksonville and, considering the investments his organization has made, that belief appears to be strong.

VyStar has made significant commitments to Downtown Jacksonville recently: they purchased and moved / are moving their headquarters to the 23-story building at 76 South Laura and secured the naming rights for the Arena, now called the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena (which happens to be right across the street from where we meet!)

Further, VyStar is growing, and they don’t appear to be slowing down. Having received approval to more than double the counties they serve (in Florida and Georgia), Mr. Wolfburg was quoted earlier this year by @WJCTjax stating that:

Everyone has this impression of credit unions that they should be small

It should be interesting to hear his vision for the organization, downtown, and the people of north Florida.

We start networking at 7:30am on Friday, with the actual program getting underway at 8:00. While you DO NOT have to register ahead of time, we are expecting a large crowd and we WOULD appreciate it if you let us know you’re coming at the downtowncouncil.org page.

Hope to see you there!
